Settings

Your own settings are on the Settings page: open it with the gear in the header, or from your avatar's menu. They affect only you.

Settings for the whole platform are a separate page, Platform Settings, under Settings in the sidebar for platform administrators; the kernel's documentation describes it.

A change takes effect at once, without reloading the page. The header has quick switches for both, but the header's language switch lasts only until the portal is next loaded — then the language saved here applies again. See Theme and language.

System information

System information shows which platform release this installation runs — the version to give when you contact support.

Field	What it shows
Platform	The installed release, for example 0.8.0, with its support track — LTS or STS — as a badge. A release from the dev channel shows its release name and a dev channel badge.
Released	When the release was published
End of Life	When support for the release ends
Commit	The exact build of the platform API

Released, End of Life and Commit appear only when they are known for the release. In the last six months before End of Life the section shows End of Life approaching; after it, Unsupported version.
